A Memorable day!!! :)

Even though it's Labor day....when we celebrate working my taking the day off....never got that! :)

Yesterday it was 'officially' announced at church, so I can put it on here as well....I'm going to be an Aunt!!!!! My sister, Rachel and her husband, Jack are expecting their first baby!!!!!! This baby is going to be the first grandchild on both sides of the family, and first Great-Grandchild on Jack's side.....poor kid..... :) Anyways, so she's due towards the end of April, and us Aunts and Uncles have been having fun coming up with fun nicknames for each other..... :)

So in honor of them, I am going to post some pics from their wedding back in April...because I started blogging after that, so there aren't any pictures here yet, besides our family picture, and 4 months late isn't to late, is it? :) These aren't in any particular order, and some were taken by Bekah S., some I took, and some were taken by the amazing photographers!!!!!!

This was the stack of boxes that lived in the study the weeks before the wedding.... :)

What better way to spend the morning of your sisters wedding than playing on the living room floor with this cutie? My cousin, Merry Heart

Words of Wisdom

 ♥   ♥

My Captain

Out of the light that dazzles me,
Bright as the sun from pole to pole,
I thank the God I know to be
For Christ the conqueror of my soul.

Since His the sway of circumstance,
I would not wince or cry aloud.
Under that rule which men call chance
My head with joy is humbly bowed.

Beyond this place of sin and tears
That life with Him! And His the aid,
Despite the menace of the years,
Keeps, and shall keep me, unafraid.

I have no fear, though strait the gate,
He cleared from punishment the scroll.
Christ is the Master of my fate,
Christ is the Captain of my soul.

Outwitted

He drew a circle that shut me out-
Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout.
But Love and I had the wit to win:
We drew a circle that took him in!

Small Group Sunday

The fourth Sunday of the month means Small Groups at our house - which also means fun volleyball games afterwards, and sweet fellowship with the greatest of friends!!! :)

Us singing(with Samuel on the guitar) It Is Well with My Soul with the Schattes, waiting for more people to show up. A favorite hymn of both of our families!!!

This was Andrew's first skit, and I think he did a pretty amazing job!!!!!

And now, let the volleyball commence!!!
(most of these volleyball pictures were taken by my sister-in-law, Amy)
