It started at 6am, when Samuel and Mr. Schatte came and picked Daniel and I up to take us to Dallas to ride in one of MAF's Kodiak planes!!!
the sunrise in the mirror on the way in
Yes. I took a picture of the chandeliers in the bathroom.....
heading out to see the plane
Scott, one of the pilots, took this picture of Sam and I with the Kodiak
Poor Samuel had to ride in the co-pilot seat...and just suffered through it....he just plastered on an ear-to-ear grin to throw us off! ;)
circling over the metroplex....
it was pretty hazy that day
one of those awkward, self-portraits....but it has Me and Mr. Schatte in it! :)
don't know where this is, but that is one big, giant parking lot!
the runway! (and Samuel.... :)
Mr. Schatte visiting with Dave, one of the pilots
As Mr. S was taking this picture, one of the staff walked by and said, "Smile, it's a Kodiak moment!" :D
Daniel had to go on the next flight, so we sat up on the balcony, and watched him take off and land, and visited with Barb B., one of the executive staff
all of us with both pilots. Scott, the one on the left, had been in Venezuela for 14 years, and David, right, was in Indonesia for 34 years!!! really neat to meet these fellows! :)
Then we went to Chick-fal-a and ate breakfast with Peter Sample! :)
Then, of course, we stopped by Rachel and Jack's apartment so Samuel could meet little Anna! :)
This is her thoughtful look!
I wove dis wittle girwie!!!!
Uncle Daniel gets a turn with the little lady

Miss Anna refused to wake up for us! Rachel, you should teach her better manners!!! ;)
there is something about little toes that melts my heart!
Mr. Schatte's turn!!!
Then in the afternoon, we went to Lone Oak to play volleyball for David Pennington's birthday
You have to watch out when these two brains get together!!! ;)
There was a mound of red ants outside with a trail that the ants had worn
the guys wanted to play some Ultimate Frisbee
Jordan going over the rules for those that hadn't played it before

Since I started the day with taking a sunrise picture, I thought it only fitting to end it with a sunset picture! :)
